The basic AL-KO 36 V MT 40 battery multi-tool serves as a hedge trimmer, a pole cutter, a grass trimmer or a combination tool consisting of a brushcutter and a trimmer, depending on the accessory you choose.
Lightweight, handy and equipped with individually adjustable extra handles and carrying straps on some mounts, the basic unit serves as a useful, effortless assistant for essential gardening tasks at home. Thanks to the quick-change system, attaching the fasteners is child's play - and can be done effortlessly even by hobby gardeners without technical sophistication.
The MT 40 multi-tool is powered by an AL-KO 36 V battery, can be used flexibly and mobile without a cable, and operates without emissions and with low noise and vibration levels. Your money's worth: You can use the battery for all devices in the AL-KO 36 V family.

AL-KO Multitool MT 40 technical data

The MT 40 is the base unit for the trimmer attachment GTA 4030, the scythe/trimmer attachment BCA 4030, the hedge trimmer attachment HTA 4045 and the pole pruner attachment CSA 4020. To achieve an optimal working height, the attachments HTA and CSA are equipped with a 70 cm long shaft tube extension.
With a low base weight of only 1 kg, carrying straps for HTA and CSA attachments, a slim design and independent battery operation, the basic unit allows for body-friendly use. There are no cables to get in the way when operating the unit, and no need to lug around the load of a petrol engine and tank - a significant relief, especially when working overhead. The advantage here is also the large working area - with extension up to 4 m working height.
Powered by a lithium-ion battery from the AL-KO 36 V family, the base unit forms the basis for efficient, emission-free and noise-free cutting, mowing and trimming. The larger 40V/5Ah battery increases runtime by about 1/3 compared to the smaller 4Ah battery. With a maximum operating time of 30 to 75 minutes, depending on the attachment, targeted cutting, mowing and trimming jobs can be easily carried out. Thanks to the lithium-ion cells, the battery is long-lasting, low-maintenance and has no self-discharge/memory effect and is easy to charge even for non-technical people.
