If you have the AL-KO MT 40 multi-tool, simply use the BCA 4030 attachment to transform the basic unit into a small, handy and lightweight cordless grass trimmer or brush cutter. Thanks to the tool-free quick-change system, the attachment can be attached quickly.
You can also switch from the thread head for precise trimming around lawn edges, corners, around trees, etc. to the durable metal blade for mowing dense meadows and grass without any tools.
With the lightweight, low-vibration attachment, you can trim and mow precisely like a real brushcutter. Thanks to the battery operation of the base unit, you have a lot of freedom of movement without having to worry about cable routing. It is quiet, emission-free and easy to maintain, and can therefore be carried out independently of certain rest periods.
When disassembled, both the MT 40 base unit and the BCA 4030 extension unit can be transported and stored, saving a lot of space.

Absolutely versatile thanks to the replaceable cutting head: the 23 cm long metal blade makes it easy to get through even thick grass and roots. However, it can be quickly replaced with the soft line head with a cutting width of up to 30 cm. You can set the optimal thread length while mowing with automatic touch, simply by tapping the trimmer head on the ground.
With a total weight of 4.2 kg including base unit and battery, the BCA 4030 scythe is very light and easy to use. The 40V/5Ah 36V battery with lithium-ion technology provides enough power for 40 minutes of mowing/trimming - ideal for the home garden. An empty battery can be charged in about 2 hours.
